I love tofu, because it’s one of the most variable staple ingredients in my kitchen. A great plant based protein, iron and calcium source with a neutral taste. You can make many savory or sweet dishes out of this incredible soy product and now I show you how to make these delicious, crispy sesame tofu bites in just 10 minutes. Enjoy!
Wrap the firm tofu in a kitchen towel and set something heavy on top for a few minutes.
Cube tofu and add to a mixing bowl.
Mix together the marinade ingredients. Sesame seeds, paprika, salt, mustard, soy sauce and lime juice.
Coat tofu cubes with the mixture.

- 1 block (200g) firm tofu
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- pinch of salt
- Press the tofu wrapped in a kitchen towel.
- Cut tofu into cubes.
- Whisk together the mustard, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame seeds, paprika and salt.
- Coat tofu with the marinade and let set for 5 minutes.
- Cook the tofu cubes in a well heated skillet for 5 minutes or until browned on all sides shaking the pan as needed to cook all sides.
I served it with mixed spring greens, rice, green peas, fresh pineapple cubes and some extra lime.
